Welcome to Leah Cowen's homepage. Leah is a Chicago-based director, actor, puppeteer and singer. Recently, you may have seen her playing the dual role of Tyler and Kathryn Bigelow in Point Break LIVE!, or as a puppeteer in Redmoon's The Astronaut's Birthday. From October 16-December 4, Leah will head overseas to direct The Children's Monologues and lead theater workshops for underprivileged youth with Dramatic Need.

NEWS:
- October 13th: Three more days until I leave for South Africa to lead workshops with the youth in Viljoenskroon and direct The Children's Monologues! The show goes on simultaneously in London and SA. Danny Boyle is directing the show in the UK, and he will be in Chicago tonight for a screening of 127 Hours at the Chicago Film Festival. I'm going to try to meet him. More news/pictures to come.
- October 9th: Thanks to everyone to came out to see The Moon Has No Desire To Be Described: Puppets, Folk and Song to Benefit Theater Workshops for South African Youth! The event was a success! In addition to raising much needed funds, I also made contacts with new puppeteers interested in doing future work for good causes.
